This uptown restaurant blends neighborhood bistro with upscale New Orleans. Formally attired servers provide professional and knowledgeable service, but the cozy dining room still retains a simple and comfortable ambience. The menu has a range of dishes from such Creole classics as veal with Bearnaise and crabmeat and fried oysters topped with melted Brie as well as a smoked duck entrée that has a more Asian presentation with soba noodles and bok choy. Homemade desserts are worth the splurge.
