Wedell-Williams Aviation and Cypress Sawmill Museum, 118 Cotten Rd., chronicles Louisiana's early aviation history. Exact replicas of racing planes built in Patterson by aviation pioneers Jimmy Wedell and Harry Williams are displayed. Visitors can experience a re-created 1930s air race in a theater presentation featuring 180-degree video screens, surround sound and special effects. Also on permanent display are exhibits documenting the history of the cypress logging industry in Louisiana and a Stearman crop duster. Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
