Los Isleños Museum is at 1357 Bayou Rd. The history of the Canary Islands and its inhabitants (known as Isleños) who arrived in St. Bernard Parish in the late 1770s is depicted through a variety of exhibits. Some of their crafts—including basket weaving, duck carving and lace making—are displayed. The lifestyles of other early settlers of coastal Louisiana are showcased as well. A multicultural village is on the grounds. Guided and self-guiding tours are offered.
