Pros: Breakfast was very good. Dinning staff were efficient
Cons: We were on the top floor & had to negotiate a very steep narrow set of stairs with heavy bags which was difficult for a fairly fit couple. Anyone with any sort of frailty, unsteadiness or disability would have major problems. Because the house is well out of town (about 2 km) walking home in the dark after dinner in the town centre on poorly maintained uneven paths with no street lighting was a real chore.

Pros: Cleftstone Manor is fantastic! Conveniently located between Bar Harbor village and the entrance to Arcadia Nat. Park. Interesting historic decor, great staff, amazing breakfasts and "happy hour" snacks (included). We really enjoyed chatting with Ann and getting to know some of the history of the area and the Inn. Very comfortable home base for exploring the rest of the island. Will definitely be back.
