Olson House, 384 Hathorne Point Rd., is a late-1700s saltwater farmhouse best known for its depiction in Andrew Wyeth's painting “Christina's World,” completed on the property in 1948. Guided tours take visitors around the home to see where Wyeth worked and stayed for many summers. Some of Wyeth's completed works are now housed in the Farnsworth Art Museum and the Wyeth Center in Rockland. Guided tours are available. Time: Allow 1 hour, 30 minutes minimum.
Grounds free. House $10; $8 (ages 65+ and students ages 17+ with ID); free (ages 0-16). Combination ticket with Farnsworth Art Museum and the Wyeth Center $17; $15 (ages 65+ and students ages 17+ with ID); free (ages 0-16).
Hours: Tours Tues.-Sun. on the hour 11-5, July 1-early Oct.; Wed.-Sun. on the hour noon-4, late May-June 30.
