Maine Wildlife Park, e. off I-95 exit 63 following signs, then 3.5 mi. n. on SR 26 (Shaker Rd.), houses 30 wildlife species native to Maine, including moose, deer and bears. Most of the animals cared for at the park had been injured or orphaned or had become dependent upon man because they were raised in captivity. The visitor center has interactive displays about Maine's wildlife resources. Several nature trails and wildlife gardens are available. Guided tours are available by appointment. Guided tours are available. Picnicking is permitted. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
$7.50; $5.50 (ages 4-12 and 61+).
Hours: Daily 9:30-6, mid-Apr. through Nov. 11. Last admission is 90 minutes before closing.
