Pros: breakfast, dinner, staff flowers & landscape was wonderful
Cons: Size of room, no wifi, no bathtub, mattress was very poor, coffee and hot water earn was not kept full.
Cons: Food was overpriced and my fish was overcooked.
Pros: Beautiful grounds and well decorated rooms and common areas. Nice surprises included packed beach bags, continental breakfast and afternoon tea were complimentary.
Cons: Drilling daily behind the property meant that relaxing at the pool was impossible. I would have expected booking.com or white barn inn to alert us that disruptive construction would be taking place throughout our stay. Breakfast staff were accommodating but not nearly as experienced as dinner staff.
Pros: Nice restaurant.
Cons: No one to help w luggage at check-in.
Room in 3rd floor attic.
View of parking lot, dumpsters and adjoining roof
Pros: The staff was incredibly nice and attentive. Also, the location is perfect for walking to the downtown area or beach.
Cons: The room was small with a sloped ceiling and dormer that made getting into/out of bed tricky. Also, the wall-unit A/C was loud and inefficient. No A/C reached the bathroom. The pool area was under construction, so there was absolutely no place to sit outside on the property. I felt the White Barn Inn wasn't worth the money, especially with no breakfast included. I'll stay somewhere else next time.
Pros: Great bed, upgraded to a Jr. suite, great tub, fireplace, very quiet despite construction. Food and service very good, not extraordinary
Cons: Didn't have either of my first two picks from the wine
Pros: The excellent service and the gourmet food!!!
Cons: Hotel was being renovated so a bit noisy.
Pros: Dining room, newspapers and coffee in the morning, friendly staff
Cons: Rooms are a little small, but very comfortablep
Pros: Bathroom fittings
Cons: Room tiny.
TV not working and not fixed
Pros: The location was lovely - so was the restaurant White Barn for dinner. Food superb & staff friendly & knowledgeable
Cons: Breakfast was a disaster!! Two young inexperienced waiters, badly trained. Took 20 minutes to get our order - and only then because we complained.
Check in told b'fast included (per booking.com)- but check out asked to pay US$60pp! We refused - & management accepted our complaint.
Pros: The restaurant and the fine dining.
Pros: Lovely elegant hotel, very helpful and friendly front desk staff.
Cons: Duvet cover not ironed; no waste paper basket in bedroom or bathroom
Cons: Your hotel is a bit outdated. The room smelled musty. For the price I expected it to be better. Some staff were great but others a bit pretentious. I would never stay there again and I will not recommend the inn.
Pros: Location, pool, breakfast
Pros: Courteous staff. But that said, no follow through.
Cons: Poor quality bedding (synthetic sheets)hard high pillows, low onamenities, no mini bar or coffee machine in room. No welcoming bowlsfruit etc. or coffee/tea available thruout day. Wifi down andmanagement unaware . a disappointment..
Same for the highly rated restaurant. Worst omelet I ever had (paper thin and hard)and toast which was EXTRA came dry with no butter on side. Staff abundant and polite but inattentive. Dinner was tasteless and cost $400+!!
Pros: Everything was of a very high quality. Staff very helpful. Beautiful location.
Cons: Too expensive as room was extremely small - and that was after a free upgrade.
Cons: Kitchen. Food is mediocre and super expensive. No value for money.
Room was made quite late in the day.
Music was on repeat and terrible.
Pros: Had a great time at the restaurant bar and an had incredible time with staff and bartenders. Also had a great couples massage that was fantastic!
Cons: Our room was incredibly disappointing. We went for our honeymoon and had stayed in the main lodge before - this time we booked a garden view room and had an queen bed, with no garden view at all -- overlooked the woods and a petroleum tank.....was very disappointed for the cost of the hotel.
Pros: The hotel and restraunt were beautiful. Very relaxing trip after we straightened out the book fiasco.
Cons: The booking experience was nightmare. The booking at the hotel had the wrong dates and the wrong room type. Fortunately I called to make dinner reservations and figured out the date problem. The room was still wrong when we got to the hotel. The staff sorted it out eventually, but this was much more work than it should have been.
Pros: How attentive the staff was. Also the little "extras" throughout the stay that make you feel like you're someplace special. For example, the bottle of champagne in the room to welcome us and the many little culinary tastes during breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner. It has a very warm and relaxing atmosphere.
Pros: The setting and the restaurant were beautiful.
Cons: The room was drafty. The heating system was very loud and turned on and off frequently, making it difficult to sleep at night. The bathroom was FREEZING.
Pros: Very atmospheric. Delightful staff. Food exceptional. Worth returning to even from "Old England ".
Cons: Room in eaves and a little smaller than expected for the price.
