AAA Editor Notes
The Stanley Museum, 40 School St., is a tribute to the creative efforts of the Stanley family, best known for the Stanley Steamer automobile. Photography by Chansonetta Stanley and other family artworks depict turn-of-the-20th-century rural Maine life. Other items created by family members also are displayed. In addition, the museum exhibits four steam-powered cars from 1905, 1909, 1910 and 1916.
