AAA Editor Notes
The Stanley Museum, 40 School St., is a tribute to the creative efforts of the Stanley family, best known for the Stanley Steamer automobile. Photography by Chansonetta Stanley Emmons and other family artworks depict turn-of-the-20th-century rural Maine life. Other items created by family members also are displayed, including violins. In addition, the museum exhibits four steam-powered cars from 1905, 1909, 1910 and 1916.

Tues.-Sun. 11-4, May-May and Nov.-Dec.; by appointment, rest of year. Allow 1 hour minimum.
