AAA Inspector Notes
A landmark from the 1940s, this restaurant's knotty-pine dining room overlooking the Piscataqua River is warm and inviting. The soup and salad bar is a meal in itself and has more than 50 selections. The house specialty is lobster naturally (priced daily), but the wide menu also has several beef dishes and plenty of other seafood—so if it lives in Maine waters it will be on the menu. During the winter months hours may vary due to the weather, so call ahead before venturing out.
