AAA Editor Notes
Burnham Tavern Museum, 14 Colonial Way (SR 192), contains articles from the Revolutionary period. Built in 1770, it is one of the oldest structures in eastern Maine and may have served as the meeting place where plans were formulated for the first naval battle of the Revolutionary War, which resulted in the capture of the British-armed vessel Margaretta. Photographs, paintings, antique furniture and Civil War relics also are on display.

Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
