Palace Playland Amusement Park is at 1 Old Orchard St. Established in 1902, the 4-acre oceanfront park offers 28 rides and a 24,000-square-foot arcade featuring more than 250 electronic games. Among the rides are two roller coasters, the Galaxi and the Orient Express; the Chance Menagerie carousel; the Electra Wheel, a Ferris wheel more than 70 feet tall; and many rides for children, including Dizzy Dragon and Winky the Whale. Games of skill and free entertainment are available.
