With so many mouthwatering menu items, choosing just one may be difficult. Take some pastries to go and you'll be thanking yourself later in the day.

Steps away from Monument Square, Dutch's is a local favorite for a quick weekday treat or indulgent brunch. Sensational flavors are made with house-made components, including breads, pastries and signature hot sauce. Juicy fried chicken is featured on both the breakfast and lunch menus, smothered in sausage gravy or red pepper jelly. For a lighter option, sample the avocado toast or sensational chicken salad. Don't forgot to order the crispy tater tots, plain or loaded with cheese and bacon. Weekends can draw crowds by mid morning; but braving the line is worth it for fresh donuts. Flavors change every week (previous offerings have included mango blackberry, chocolate malt and butterscotch pudding). The flaky croissants and Danish also rotate flavors, and plump cinnamon buns are available every day. The charismatic decor features nostalgic North Woods images. You may briefly forgot that you are in the heart of downtown Portland.
