Redington Museum, 62 Silver St., Unit A, contains displays about the early history of Waterville. Collections of furniture, household artifacts, toys and weapons are displayed in an elegant 1814 Federal-style home. A replica of a 19th-century apothecary shop in the museum annex contains an impressive set of matching mahogany, brass and glass cases filled with pharmaceutical artifacts and medicines. Time: Allow 1 hour, 30 minutes minimum.
$5; free (ages 0-18 when accompanied by an adult).
Hours: Tours Tues.-Sat. at 10, 11, 1 and 2, Memorial Day-Labor Day. Closed major holidays.
