Canadian Museum for Human Rights (CMHR) is at The Forks, 85 Israel Asper Way. On a self-guiding audio tour you can leisurely stroll up the glowing ramps from floor to floor to view 10 galleries housing art, artifacts, film, photography and interactive digital exhibits that encourage visitors to discuss and take action to promote human rights. A highlight of the museum is a circular theater in which you can view a 360-degree film featuring four generations of indigenous people sharing stories about responsibilities and rights.

The eight-story building features four main parts: the Roots, the Mountain, the Cloud and the Tower of Hope. The journey of discovery begins at the Roots, where you will find a temporary gallery and the Great Hall. The Mountain galleries display the museum's core exhibits, and the three-story glass Cloud wraps around an interior Garden of Contemplation, a space with basalt rock and pools of water. The Cloud is made up of 1,300 panes of glass. The glass-spire Tower of Hope provides panoramic views of Winnipeg and surrounding areas. Guided and self-guiding tours are available.

Guided tours are available. Food is available. Time: Allow 2 hours minimum.
