Manitoba Crafts Museum and Library, downtown at 392 Cumberland Ave., has a permanent collection of approximately 9,000 traditional Manitoba crafts, including embroidery, knitting, quilting, weaving, lace, pottery, beadwork and basketry. The library has books, patterns and scrapbooks about many forms of craftwork. Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.

Hours: Tues.-Sat. 10-4, June-Aug.; Tues.-Wed. 10-4, Sat. noon-4 or by appointment, rest of year. Closed major holidays.
