Manitoba Crafts Museum and Library, downtown at 392 Cumberland Ave., has a permanent collection of approximately 9,000 traditional Manitoba crafts, including embroidery, knitting, quilting, weaving, lace, pottery, beadwork and basketry. The library has books, patterns and scrapbooks about many forms of craftwork.
Note: The museum (formerly at 183 Kennedy St.) is scheduled to open at this new location in early 2017. Phone for schedule which had not been finalized at press time.
