The Forks National Historic Site

The Forks National Historic Site, at The Forks, on Forks Market Rd., is a 3.5-hectare (9-acre) park that offers walking paths with views of the Red River, a children's playground with a seasonal splash pad and a Riverwalk open in summer months (water levels permitting). Interpretive programs and festivals are held Victoria Day through Labour Day. A variety of guided tours and theatrical presentations are available July through August.

In winter months, Arctic Glacier Winter Park provides cold-weather fun with horse-drawn wagon rides, lighted pathways, a toboggan hill, ice-skating trails and a skating rink. The Parks Canada information desk is located in the Travel Manitoba Visitor Information Centre at The Forks.
