AAA Editor Notes
Winnipeg Railway Museum is at 123 Main St. inside the historic VIA Rail Union Station, on tracks 1 and 2, making it one of only a few North American railroad museums in an active railway station. Highlights on the two sections of 750-foot-long tracks include steam, electric and diesel locomotives, baggage cars, boxcars and cabooses. A 1920 Ford Model T truck and two antique fire trucks also can be seen. Museum exhibits feature a model train display as well as historic items and photos related to the city of Winnipeg, the Canadian National and Canadian Pacific railways and women's roles in railway history.
