Banana Museum (Musée de la Banane) is 3 mi. w. in Quartier Fourniols, following signs. The museum, situated on an operating banana plantation, presents information about the fruit's history. Displays outline the banana's origins in India, Asia and Africa; the crop's subsequent migration to the islands; and its worldwide consumption.
