Historic Annapolis Museum is at 99 Main St. at the city dock. This three-story building features four rooms of temporary exhibits. Videos and artifacts are offered. At nearby Hogshead (1 block away at 43 Pinkney St.), a 19th-century building, interpreters dressed in period costume provide information about Colonial life. Allow 45 minutes minimum for museum.

Hours: Mon.-Sat. 10-5 (also Fri.-Sat. 5-8), Sun. 11-5, May-Dec.; Mon.-Sat. 10-5, Sun. 11-5, rest of year. Hogshead open Sat.-Sun. noon-4, late Mar.-early Dec. Closed Jan. 1, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
