Maryland Women's Heritage Center and Museum, 39 W. Lexington St. at jct. N. Liberty St., is a one-room exhibit area highlighting the contributions of Maryland women and girls. Visitors can learn about some of the Maryland Women's Hall of Fame inductees. In-depth information about some of the inductees is displayed at all times and is changed regularly. A timeline showcases women related to a certain theme, which also changes. The Women in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) and the Images and Expressions: Maryland Women in the Arts exhibits recognize women in their fields. The Unsung Heroines exhibit features women nominated by visitors. Temporary exhibits recognize women's contributions to science, technology, engineering, the space program, women's suffrage and the arts. Interactive programs and events are offered throughout the year. Guided tours are available. Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
