National Museum of Dentistry is downtown at 31 S. Greene St. Hands-on exhibits and video clips explore an array of dental-related topics, including an introduction to G.V. Black, an early dentistry innovator. Among the museum's collection is George Washington's lower denture and Queen Victoria's oral hygiene instruments as well as a varied array of toothbrushes, dental furniture and extraction instruments. The importance of good oral health (brushing, flossing, healthy diet and staying away from tobacco) is stressed. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
