Rural Heritage Museum is .9 mi. n. on N. Main St., 5.4 mi. n.w. on Lappans Rd., then 2.6 mi. s. to 7313 Sharpsburg Pike (SR 65), at the Washington County Agricultural Education Center. A 15-minute video reveals local history, including the role farming has played. Within numerous exhibit areas spread across several buildings are artifacts, rooms furnished as historic farms would have looked, farm equipment and tools, a Conestoga wagon, cars, buggies, sleighs, a re-creation of a country store and more. Docents are available to answer questions.
