Richardson Maritime Museum is at 401 High St. at jct. Locust St. and pays tribute to James Richardson, an accomplished boatbuilder who built The Maryland Dove; artifacts and photos chronicle his life as well as the lives of other Dorchester County boatbuilders. Boatbuilding tools, watermen equipment and models of a variety of vessels that have sailed the Chesapeake Bay and Choptank River also are displayed. Interpretive panels describe the local boating industry's history. Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
