Surratt House and Museum, 9118 Brandywine Rd., is the restored 1852 home of Mary Surratt. Guides in period dress conduct tours of the house and tavern and explain the house's role as the first stop on John Wilkes Booth's escape route through southern Maryland. Guided tours are available. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
