Gordon-Roberts House is at 218 Washington St. This 1867 Victorian house is headquarters for the Allegany County Historical Society and features period pieces, antiques and displays depicting life in the mid-1800s. Changing exhibits feature such historical items as art, books, clothing, glassware, maps, photographs, toys and utensils. A cup of tea is offered as part of a guided tour.

$7; $6 (ages 60+); $5 (students).
Guided tours Wed.-Sat. 10-4, May-Oct.; Wed.-Sat. 10-3, rest of year. Last tour begins 1 hour before closing. The house may be closed for private events; phone ahead. Closed major holidays. Allow 1 hour minimum.
