Museum of Rural Life

Museum of Rural Life is at 16 N. 2nd St. An 1840s log cabin of a tenant or subsistence farmer is housed in the museum, which was built around the relocated cabin. Portions of two middle-class dwellings and a wealthy farmer's brick house also can be seen. A large riverboat model represents the type of boats that once traveled in this area. Temporary exhibits also are offered.

Guided tours are available. Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
