Mount Harmon Plantation, 600 Mount Harmon Rd., is an 18th-century tobacco plantation situated on a Sassafras River peninsula. Guided tours explore the restored 1730 brick manor house decorated with antiques, a Colonial kitchen, and a prize house in which tobacco was "prized" before being shipped overseas. Nature trails and a walled boxwood garden are on the grounds.
Special events are scheduled throughout the year.
