Mount Harmon Plantation, 600 Mount Harmon Rd., is an 18th-century tobacco plantation situated on a Sassafras River peninsula. Guided tours explore the restored 1730 brick manor house decorated with antiques, a Colonial kitchen, and a prize house in which tobacco was "prized" before being shipped overseas. Nature trails and a walled boxwood garden are on the grounds.

Special events are scheduled throughout the year.

Guided tours are available. Picnicking is permitted.

$10; $8 (ages 60+ and students ages 14-24).
Thurs.-Sun. 10-3, May-Oct.; by appointment rest of year. Last tour begins 1 hour before closing. Closed major holidays. Allow 1 hour minimum.
