Historic London Town and Gardens

Historic London Town and Gardens, 2 mi. e. via SR 253 to 839 Londontown Rd., is a 23-acre park and museum. The Historic Area features the mid-18th century William Brown House, reconstructed Colonial buildings that include a carpenter shop with period tools, and a continuing archaeological project focused on gathering information about the “lost town” of London. A permanent exhibit offers displays about early settlement in the Chesapeake region. The 8-acre Woodland Garden features a 1-mile trail where visitors can observe native and exotic plant species. Seasonal ornamental gardens overlook the South River.

Special events and programs are held during the year.
