AAA Editor Notes
Cecil's Old Mill, 20854 Indian Bridge Rd., was built in 1810 as a textile mill. The soil proved unsuitable for growing cotton, so the mill was subsequently used as a grist- and sawmill that ceased operation in 1957. Inside are a grinder, bagger, wheat cleaning machine and scales. A video about the history of the mill is offered. Outside is restored operational sawmill equipment. Today the mill is the focal point for local craftsmen who display their works among the mill machinery and an operational waterwheel.
