The Woodland Indian Hamlet is behind the visitor center at Historic St. Mary's City; access begins from the visitor center off SR 5 at 18751 Hogaboom Ln. Interpreters at this representation of a Yaocomaco Indian settlement demonstrate indigenous ways of life. Visitors to the hamlet can learn how Maryland’s native population interacted with the English colonists.
