John Greenleaf Whittier Home

John Greenleaf Whittier Home, 86 Friend St., was the 1836-92 home of the abolitionist and author, whose works included “Snow-Bound” and “The Barefoot Boy.” The house remains almost unchanged and contains original furnishings, portraits, engravings, manuscripts and a large portion of Whittier's library.
