An authentically restored Queen Anne-style former sea captain's mansion is furnished with antiques and artsy touches. Served every afternoon are complimentary cookies or another sweet treat. Three of the rooms have fireplaces and one has a claw foot tub. Two amazing 100- to 150-year-old Beech trees grace the property; one weeps over the road that guests drive under to reach the inn.
Smoke free premises. 6 units. 3 stories (no elevator), interior/exterior corridors.
Cons: Old house smell, room was in attic, breakfast was a joke
Pros: towels were fluffy
Keurig in dining room
window air conditioner was adequate
Cons: shower needed scrubbing
bar soap was not provided in bathroom
bedroom windows needed cleaning
same breakfast 2 days in a row
porch boards are broken in places
decor needs updating
landscaping is minimal
Pros: Owners seemed nice enough although not sufficiently attentive. Barnstable a cute village . Breakfast was pleasant . Appreciated being able to stay for just one night.
Cons: Place is very run down. Room really not fit for rental. Unable to stand up without hitting ceiling. Bathroom on different floor. No vent or Windows that opened in bathroom. Porch sloping . Hard to walk anywhere from location and difficult to get out of driveway due to limited visibility .

Pros: Nice king bed, very comfortable. You have to like something different than a regular hotel. Its rustic and we loved it!
Cons: The inn is in need of repair work and updating. Frankly, I believe this residence is too much to handle for this working couple. On a scale of 1-10, I would give it a 2 and would not recommend it.
Cons: Städning aircondition
Pros: Friendly staff, good breakfast. Nice big room om the second floor. Bed was exellent. Nice garden with beautiful trees.
Cons: The price is a litle high for the standard you receive. It was very cold in the breakfastroom.
Pros: Very convenient location
Tremendous value - significantly nicer than comparable properties

Pros: Love the Inn design and the layout of the room.
Cons: Out of the way distance wise. Can go pass the Inn quickly.
Pros: Room was quiet
Cons: No one around for check in. We had to call the telephone number to have someone come down to check us in.
No information given to us when we did get checked in as to when breakfast was or what to do if we needed something.
No clock in room, no smoke detector in room and lights for entrance did not work. All in all needs some attention!
Pros: Location was great also breakfast wa great
Cons: The room we got had the bathroom downstairs the stairs were very steep and narrow had to get up Nc down. If you are one to get up at night to go to the bathroom ask for a room that has the bathroom on the same floor

Pros: The lovely home made breakfast, although served very slowly.
Cons: I had a reservation for a quadruple room (eventhough we were 3 people), and when I checked out, there were a problem: I verified in the bill that the receptionist had charged an extra bed, eventhough I had booked a quadruple room, not a double, as he replied and insisted. I had to show the confirmation paper and since he did not accept it, I had to threaten calling "booking.com" to solve the problem. Only then has he changed his mind. So disconfortable situation and unreliable receptionist.
Pros: Can walk to town, big pretty trees on property, pleasant owner
Cons: Room decor, had to duck head to fit in bathroom, needs updating/maintenance (dirty towels stuffed into old a/c unit and hole in plastic, mildew under shower caulking, etc), no housekeeping service during our stay, request not followed up on. No one gave us info on anything when we checked in or made sure everything was ok. The owners seem pleasant, but their hands are full--not an easy place to maintain! Other rooms may be nicer than the one we stayed in.
Pros: The peace and quiet with beautiful surroundings.
Pros: Breakfast was good, especially the artistic fruit salad and veggie frittata. The lovely fruit crepes contained butterscotch syrup which would have better been presented outside on the plate as an option.
Cons: Odor of fabric softener in linens and the petroleum products ruined one night's sleep. At the price one expects chemical free linens.
