AAA Inspector Notes
Inspector Pick (Classification): Approaching its 90th year, I favor this Boston Landmark because of it's rich history blended with a new modern design.
The extensive renovations throughout this historic 1927 grande dame have resulted in marvelous historic details and Millennial-design sensibilities. A palatial mixed-use lobby boasts a bevy of comfy seating nooks and an excellent bistro and bar. The guest rooms are cozy-chic and with bedding to complement the space. Smoke free premises. 1060 units. 15 stories, interior corridors. Accessibility (Call).

Good

Pros: The location was perfect; downtown and close to everything.
Cons: The room was very tiny (100 sq. ft) for two people to share. The bathroom was almost unusable, and the shower was about the size of my body, leaving little room to maneuver. I think it's absurd that this room is listed as one that sleeps two guests.

Wonderful

Pros: Location is ideally situated within walking distance of major attractions. Used ultra-close subway stop & saved substantial time & money vs. using a cab. Ambiance of hotel, with central dining & bar, gave a hip, happening, and sheikh vibe. Top Notch Food!
Cons: The newly remodeled rooms are beautifully appointed. The beds were very comfortable and the sheets/bedding were luxurious. Unfortunately when it comes to the bathroom; housekeeping should pay better mind to a few hairs noticed around bathtub and floor.

Poor

Pros: location is good
Cons: The surprise mandatory resort fee is unjustifiable. There is no resort facilities. The room also caused an allergic reaction that improved only during the day when I was gone. Would not recommend this place. Cleaning staff seemed ok though

Very Good

Pros: It was nice and in a good location
Cons: The staff told me my room was ready for early check in at 1 pm but when I arrived it wasn't. Had to pay an upgrade fee that wasn't mentioned to be able to check in.

Pleasant

Pros: Excellent Location. You can walk everywhere!
Cons: Overly perfumed smell when you walk in. Rooms are very very small. Made reservations for two. They told me my room was really just meant for 1 and can upgrade for $40/night (+) tax. Also there is a service amenity fee/day which I didn't.know about.
