AAA Inspector Notes
Built in 1922, this Boston landmark was originally the Federal Reserve Bank of New England and displays crests for the six New England states on the exterior facade facing Post Office Square. This hotel features a blend of modern amenities coupled with classic charm. Original N.C. Wyeth murals hang in the Wyeth Room; and while the lobby remain faithful in style to the architect's Italian Renaissance design the style is distinctly modern and blends perfectly. Over 150 architectural differences (in size and type) are found in the traditional-contemporary guest rooms, giving each a unique appeal. Thick bedspreads and beautiful furnishings help to create an inviting oasis. Smoke free premises. 317 units. 9 stories, interior corridors. Accessibility (Call).

Pros: Walking distance (~6-7 minutes) to State Building, Faneuil hall and other historic sites. Decently upscale but I've been to much nicer 4* hotels for much cheaper.
Cons: hotel was quite small, previously the federal reserve bank building, only 9 stories and surrounded by skyscrapers. It is always in the shade. Also thought the surrounding area would be more lively, but it was very quiet. Afternoon Tea was a rip off.

Pros: The location and the fact that the staff was outstanding! They tried to anticipate our every need and go above and beyond. The hotel is small too so it was a very personalized experience.
Cons: I was looking forward to trying the Pink Taxi and it was out of service.
