AAA Inspector Notes
Built in 1922, this Boston landmark was originally the Federal Reserve Bank and displays crests for the six New England states on the exterior facade facing Post Office Square. This hotel features a blend of modern amenities coupled with classic charm. Original N.C. Wyeth murals hang in the Wyeth Room; and while the lobby remain faithful in style to the architect's Italian Renaissance design the style is distinctly modern and blends perfectly. Over 150 architectural differences (in size and type) are found in the traditional-contemporary guest rooms, giving each a unique appeal. Thick bedspreads and beautiful furnishings help to create an inviting oasis. Smoke free premises. 318 units. 9 stories, interior corridors. Accessibility (Call).

Pros: Good service....specially printing of documents without having to go to business center. Concierge service very helpful to find tennis facilities. Reception kindly upgraded me so room was good.
Cons: Felt hotel rate was a bit high, parking in particular. Time for valet to provide car was quite long in several cases, specially bearing in mind that the car park was attached to the hotel building.

Pros: Walking distance to many of the places we wanted to visit, staff is very helpful. Our room was quiet and had a nice, if not outstanding, view of the city. Concierge recommendations for dinners were spot-on. Very comfortable beds - pillows too hard, but asked for softer ones and got them.
Cons: Price - but Boston is expensive. This hotel runs about $50-$80 more per night than some in the area, but is really delightful.
