The hotel is outdated. The room was 80 degrees when we walked in our room. We called the front desk. They were very rude, telling us the A/C goes off, and the heat goes on. What kind of hotel does not offer the choice? The man at the desk was RUDE, obnoxiously asking if we wanted a fan. We had to sleep with the window open (NO SCREENS!), outside which was an alley facing the back side of apartments, and the parking of their cars. The amount of yelling and car doors slamming and car alarms, not to mention the police sirens, went on all night. The shower was a wreck. The toilet was barely staying on the seal. The shower was not for someone taller than 5 feet tall. The wall obviously had water damage as the wallpaper was buckled. For the amount of money they charge, this hotel should be doing MAJOR renovations to bring it up to date. And most definitely should be hiring someone other than the rude man working the desk. Before they are allowed the be a AAA recommended hotel, someone from AAA should stay there. You can bet I tried to find another hotel, but because of the Northeastern parents weekend, everything was booked.
Pros: The proximity to Northeastern College
Cons: Please see my overall impression above. The only positive I have to say about this hotel, is it's location. Period.

A great hotel in an excellent location.
Pros: Reasonable cost, access to the "T" and Amtrak, can get anywhere in Boston easily, very helpful staff, very clean, quiet and safe. I'm a big fan of this hotel and recommend it to people travelling to Boston.
Cons: Rooms are definitely comfortable and clean, but a bit tired, but I can accept this for all the very real benefits listed above.

A little old and worn but the location is great.
Pros: Reasonably priced, friendly staff, plenty of coffee/tea fixings, all the usual supplies, validated parking so it was free.
Cons: The shower heads are very low so a tall person would have to couch down. I am only 5'5 and I barely fit under it.
