Dating from 1801, this historic sea captain's house offers lovely accommodations with distinct New England nautical décor. Antique furnishings mix with modern conveniences. There is a game room to enjoy at your leisure by the fireplace with books and board games. The two-course gourmet breakfast is prepared from scratch along with fresh-squeezed orange juice. Breakfast may be served in the sunroom or on the outdoor patio and courtyard. A complimentary wine and cheese reception is offered Wednesday through Sunday in season, while port and sherry are offered year round. There are also multiple 24-hour coffee and tea spots for anytime cravings and a beverage center with free soft drinks and bottled water. Beach chairs, towels, umbrellas and coolers are available to borrow. The innkeepers are eager and able to assist travelers in day trip planning and offer packages that include prepared picnics and whale watching. Guests can store their bicycles on-site and take them down the road to a popular bayfront beach.
