Museum of American Bird Art at Mass Audubon is at 963 Washington St. Highlighting artwork inspired by nature, the gallery offers changing exhibitions of internationally known painters, photographers and sculptors. Surrounding the museum, the Mildred Morse Allen Wildlife Sanctuary features a nature trail that leads hikers through a meadow, a forest and a red maple swamp. Red-tailed hawks nest in the sanctuary in spring and summer, while coyotes, deer and foxes make their home here in winter.
Educational programs, including scavenger hunts, are available.
