AAA Inspector Notes
Set on 25 acres with panoramic oceanfront views. This destination resort features Old World charm with an attentive staff and grand turn-of-the-century style. Families will appreciate the complimentary kids' programs that are available June through August as well as the zero-entry pool with additional children’s pool. Start each morning with a freshly brewed cappuccino or espresso using the Nespresso machine in your room or enjoy complimentary coffee and tea in the restaurant. The private beach with fire-pits and the top-notch spa are highlights. The incredible spa rooms need to be seen to be believed. They feature your own private sauna, steam showers, and tubs with water that fills from the ceiling. Massage tables pull out from under the bed, so there is no reason to leave your room. You can be driven into town in one of the inn's luxury Lexus SUV's. Originally built in 1914 as a hunting lodge, it has been expanded into a first-class seaside resort over the years with a quintessential New England verandah perfect for lounging, tea or a cocktail. Authentic New England clambakes are held on the beach on weekends in season. “Larry the Lobster” mascot comes out to greet children during clambakes and makes surprise appearances by the pool.
