Falmouth Museums on the Green is at 55 Palmer Ave. off SR 28 at the Village Green. Two 18th-century houses contain furniture, fine art, toys and textiles; exhibits depicting 19th-century whaling; a colonial kitchen; a display about pre-Civil War medicine; and a room that chronicles the life of Katharine Lee Bates, Falmouth-born poet of “America the Beautiful.” The Hallett Barn Visitor Center houses changing exhibits and vintage clothing. Colonial and herb gardens are part of the 2-acre complex.
