A top design team restored this elegant 250-year-old home and barn into a modern space with early Americana details. The refined yet casual feeling begins at the foyer with its stone flooring and view of the attractive fireplace and wood-fired oven. Dining areas feature dark wood planked flooring, wood trim and windows overlooking a wooded area. The restaurant grows its own produce on a farm in nearby Groton, so the heirloom tomatoes, baby beets, kale, radishes and herbs will taste super-fresh They offer gourmet pizza such as the lobster bake which is oven-fired and topped with Maine lobster, new potato, sweet corn and linguiça (a type of spicy sausage). The raw bar has an excellent variety of local oysters and littleneck clams. Dinner items include pumpkin ravioli, herb-roasted salmon, meatloaf, Cornish game hen and chicken pot pie. Servers are attentive and make you feel at home whether you are dining for a special occasion or just want a night cap and some tasty appetizers in the lounge.
