Pros: The staff, location & curb appeal was good.
The main house looked beautiful & was an example of quaint New England charm.
This area was warm & welcoming. A very nice touch for all was the availability of hot coffee, tea & some type of home baked goodies.
We were impressed the cook's talents but felt the variety was lacking.
Cons: Their fireplace description was misleading. They were for appearance only & were stoves with fake flames.
The CarriageHouse is decorated as a mishmash of Polynesian chairs, 1980 bathroom & a bunch of Ikea quality cabinets. The telephone is rigged up very poorly to the wall. The tub step-up was dangerous. We expected the same charm & decor of the main house and is was not there.
Pros: Plenty of hot water for shower/bath, comfortable bed, plenty of snacks, cognac & chocolate, gourmet breakfast, warm pool, huge yard/lawn, lovely owners & staff.
