The Bidwell House Museum is n. on Tyringham Rd. from SR 23, then 1 mi. w. to 100 Art School Rd. The 1760s Georgian saltbox is set on 192 acres of woodlands and gardens. Built for the first minister of Monterey, it contains 18th- and early 19th-century furniture and decorative arts. Historic woodland trails and summer programs are available.
