AAA Inspector Notes
This B&B has been lovingly restored into a retro chic getaway with Simon Pearce decorative lamps, Frette sheets, overstuffed down comforters and a choice of pillow types on a pillowtop mattress. The inn boasts a beautifully furnished wrap-around porch, a patio and a breakfast room with a crystal fireplace. Complimentary breakfast includes a selection of fresh seasonal fruit, fresh-baked pastries and breads, bagels, organic yogurt, homemade granola, juices, coffee and a variety of teas. Many rooms offer views of the harbor. Did not meet all AAA rating requirements for locking devices in some guest rooms at time of last evaluation on 06/29/2015. Facilities, services, and décor characterize an upscale property.

Pros: The location, the wonderfully attentive staff, the gorgeous vintage building.
Cons: The breakfast was a bit scarce, and, like everywhere else on the island, the rooms are overpriced. But hey, it's Nantucket.

Pros: Breakfast @ the Veranda was AWESOME! Service was SUPERB!
Cons: Was disappointed to realize when we arrived that we didn't have a room in the larger Veranda with views, veranda's, etc. but the separate Chapman building (next to Veranda House). In the future, will know to specify the Veranda rooms with views.

Pros: The breakfasts were excellent. They cannot serve bacon and eggs, but they had excellent breakfasts iincluded n spite of that. The staff was super attentive. Go to the whaling museum when you visit. Make sure to hear the story of the Essex.
Cons: We had a queen compact room and it was like living in a tiny house, but still a nice room. We were only in the room to sleep anyway!
