One of the popular chef-owned restaurants on the island, this culinary institution has been treating guests since 2002. It is sure to please, especially with the quality all-American boutique wine list put together by the chef's sommelier wife. The restaurant uses seasonal ingredients and supports local farmers. Country chic décor offers lots of candlelight creating an intimate yet romantic mood. The menu changes seasonally but if available, start with the corn meal-crusted fried oysters with avocado and pickled onion in a buttermilk dressing with sweet chili jam or the Bartlett's Farm tomato salad with watermelon, baby beets, buratta cheese, mixed basil and pine nut purée. The Nantucket fluke with truffled homemade cavatelli in a lobster reduction with favetta and lemon frito is delicious. Guests enter past a rose covered archway into the alfresco covered patio with bistro-style metal chairs and tables then into the dining room of the historic home filled with Americana antiques.
