Classic Historic. A culinary institution since 1909, dinner is served within one of the several distinctive dining rooms within this charming rose-covered cottage. On warm days, lunch and coffee are served in the lovely rose garden. The modern Parisian-inspired menu emphases New England and artisan ingredients. The extensive wine list is all-French and focuses on regional châteaux chosen for compatibility with the menu items. Look for stella menu combinations such as Moroccan-spiced free bird chicken with apricot glaze, smoked paprika-cinnamon tomato broth and Turkish fig with organic baby spinach ragout or the local flounder meunière in a lemon and green Tabasco butter sauce.
