The Botanic Garden of Smith College is at 16 College Ln., on the 127-acre Smith College campus. Developed in the 1800s by landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted's design firm, this “living museum” encompasses an array of specialty gardens, including a Japanese garden and a wildflower and woodland garden, as well as an arboretum with more than 1,200 woody plants. The Lyman Conservatory features collections of tropical, subtropical and desert species. Seasonal plant shows are offered in spring and fall.
