South Shore Natural Science Center is at 48 Jacobs Ln. Nature enthusiasts may explore various trails at a leisurely pace, from the shortest trail at 15 minutes to the longest trail at 50 minutes. The Jacobs Pond area has two trails; some of the wildlife that can be seen include turtles, waterfowl and songbirds. Herb and wildflower gardens also are on-site, as is the EcoZone Museum, an interactive exhibit area depicting the ecosystems of southeastern Massachusetts.
Picnicking is permitted in designated areas.
