Harvard Forest, 324 N. Main St., is a department of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences of Harvard University. This 3,750-acre site comprises research facilities; interpretive trails; and the Fisher Museum, which features 23 dioramas depicting important moments in the history and conservation of central New England forests. Hiking, cross-country skiing, mountain biking and horseback riding are permitted on most roads and trails.
