The John Adams Birthplace is accessible via the Adams National Historical Park visitor center at 1250 Hancock St. Park rangers guide visitors through the 1735 birthplace and boyhood home of the country's second president. The saltbox house was where he wrote his first letters to Abigail Smith, who later became his wife. Guided tours are available.
