AAA Editor Notes
Halibut Point State Park is on Cape Ann, 2.8 mi. n. on SR 127, then just e. on Gott Ave. The coastal property offers trails as well as opportunities for fishing, bird-watching and cross-country skiing. Featuring exhibits that document the park's natural and cultural history, the visitor center is housed in a 60-foot-tall World War II fire-control tower. The structure offers panoramic views, and, on clear days, such locations as Mount Agamenticus in Maine and the Isles of Shoals off the coast of New Hampshire can be seen.

Available from the visitor center and online, a self-guiding walking tour describes the area's bygone granite industry.

Guided tours are available. Recreational activities are permitted. Picnicking is permitted.
